Data

The Department of Water, Energy, and Environment (DWEE) collects and manages environmental data through groundwater and surface water sampling, ambient air quality monitoring, and reports from regulated businesses and industries to support its regulatory responsibilities. Complementing these efforts, DWEE develops, stores, processes, and maintains data on the state’s land and water resources. Together, these functions support the department’s regulatory responsibilities while ensuring timely, user-friendly access to reliable environmental data for government agencies and the public, enabling informed decision-making and greater awareness of environmental quality, conditions, and concerns.
