Jamie serves as the Cooperating Technical Partner (CTP) project manager with FEMA and helps develop guidelines and procedures for mapping work. She completes project task reviews and conducts detailed and approximate hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, oversees engineering and mapping staff, prepares flood insurance studies, and reviews engineering and mapping submittals. Jamie also coordinates with consulting firms to complete Floodplain Management Division’s contracted CTP projects and performs Technical Reviews submitted by local jurisdictions.
National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Coordinating Staff
State NFIP Coordinating staff serve as a point of contact for floodplain management questions. They assist with floodplain ordinance review and adoption, outreach events to help communities communicate flood risk, as well as outreach events related to mapping projects. They provide floodplain management assistance through Community Assistance Visits (CAVs), Community Assistance Contacts (CACs), training sessions, technical assistance phone calls and correspondence, and assisting communities with joining, maintaining and advancing their status in the Community Rating System (CRS).

Engineering and Project Management
Engineers serve as project managers and help develop guidelines and procedures for mapping work. They conduct approximate and detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for mapping, review and approve BFE determinations, prepare floodplain reports, and delineate floodplains. They also review engineering work developed during FEMA mapping projects and performs Technical Reviews submitted by local jurisdictions, to verify accuracy and that they follow FEMA guidelines. They create Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), Draft FIRM databases, metadata and FEMA submissions based on FEMA’s guidelines.

GIS and Floodplain Mapping Specialists
GIS and Floodplain Mapping Specialists delineate floodplains, create Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), Draft FIRM databases, metadata, Flood Risk Products, and FEMA submissions based on FEMA’s guidelines.
