Develop a DWEE approved Wellhead Protection Plan with all the required elements in addition to conducting an assessment of the community’s water usage, water quality, and current conservation efforts. Activities that promote water conservation and source water protection will be developed.

Health Alert Issued for Big Indian Lake (11A) and Cub Creek Lake

The state has issued a health alert for Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs), also known as toxic blue-green algae, at Big Indian Lake (11A) in Gage County. A health alert has been extended for Cub Creek Lake in Jefferson County.
Rockford Lake in Gage County has been removed from health alert after being on alert last week.
