Motor Vehicle Miles Traveled in Nebraska


According to the data table below, travel on all roads and streets in Nebraska in February 2026 increased 9.1 percent, or 142 million miles, compared to the same month a year ago. February 2026 travel increased 9.3 percent, or 146 million miles, from last month.

Miles traveled in February 2026 were above the number of miles traveled in February 2025 (last year). February travel was also above both the five–year average and the five–year range. (Figure 1)

Figure 1 shows the motor vehicle miles traveled in Nebraska this year compared to last year's miles traveled, the five-year average, and the five-year range.
