Electricity Expenditures in Nebraska by End–Use Sector


Expenditures for electricity rose to $3,069.6 million in 2023, which was 2.7 percent more than the $2,989.2 million spent on electricity in 2022. The residential sector spent 38.9 percent of the total with the commercial sector spending 32.1 percent, and the industrial sector spending 28.9 percent.

The expenditures are in nominal dollars to provide a better comparison.
