Ethanol-Blended Fuel Consumption


The 2026 Report of the Statewide Ethanol Blend Rate provides a list of blends sold in Nebraska and the number of gallons of each blend. The reports on motor gasoline consumption and the total of both motor gasoline and ethanol–blended fuel consumption have additional information.

Annual Data

As reflected in Figure 1 and the data table below, ethanol–blended fuel consumption in 2025 was 787,830,937 gallons, which was a decrease of less than one percent (0.16%) from consumption in 2024 of 789,057,999 gallons.

Figure 1 is a line graph showing annual ethanol-blended fuel consumption in Nebraska.

 

Monthly Data

As shown in the data table below, ethanol-blended fuel consumption in April 2026 was 65,624,441 gallons. This was 1.8 percent less than a year ago but 4.1 percent higher than a month ago. April 2026 consumption was below April 2025's (last year's) consumption, equivalent to the five–year average, and in the center of the five–year range. (Figure 2)
